Texas Tech Weekend

Last weekend we drove back up to Lubbock to watch the Red Raiders in their first football game this year! Josh and I LOVE to watch us some college football..esp Tech. It is always so fun when we get to go watch them at home! Because it was Labor day and a long weekend, the whole extended family came up to visit Nana and cheer on the Raiders. These weekends are always a little crazy, with both sides of the family there, but SO much fun!

I love this picture of Josh showing Lila around on Tech campus:)

Can somebody say "Get your guns up"! (It's a tradition to take your picture in front of this Will Rogers statue. In case you were wondering:) The students wrap it in red paper every game day).

Honey and her cheerleaders!

4 generations of Anderson/Purdy gals.

...and then with the Warren side.

This is how Lila gets her guns up. I think she may be confusing it with the Baylor bear. We'll have to work on that this season:)

Precious fans.

Love the double belly pic!!!

These weekends are Lila's idea of perfection. She gets to stay with her Warren cousins and then we go visit the Purdy cousins every day. She was in heaven!

Honey and GP took the kids to feed the ducks so we could actually visit with Nana:)

This is pretty much how it goes when we are together. Ryan leading the way, Stacey, Ally and Wyatt close behind. Then Lila trying hard to keep up. Looks like Wyatt was trying hard too!

The game was fun, but miserably hot. I left at half time, that's how hot it was! They said it felt like 140 degrees on the field! What??? The Raiders won, so it was a success. Josh and I packed up on Monday and left Lila with Grumps and Cha Cha for the week.

As you can tell, Lila wasn't too broken up about staying to play with Cha Cha:) I missed her terribly, but got so much done. Another post:)

I think she might want to be a Baylor Bear and that's why she is not really "getting her guns up" in that picture. There is no need to work on it....just let her keep up the Sic'Em! :-)
