Poor Baby!

This is the face of one sad, sick baby girl:(

Lila has had horrible allergies since birth, but they have intensified since moving to Waco. Her cough got so bad that she was waking up at night. I have taken her in for this several times and heard it's just allergies, so I didn't think much of it. Thank the good Lord that he gave her a fever! Is it bad that that's the only time I usually go into the Dr.??

She had a "baby version" of bronchitis. Very close to pneumonia!!! Yikes! Now we are the proud owners of our very own nebulizer. She hates it, but gets by because I let her watch Micky Mouse Clubhouse (or Hot dog as she calls it:) while we sit there.

She is finally feeling better and running around again. Here is a happier photo of a girl lovin' life! We had some baby friends over and I hadn't put up the exersaucer. Lila loved playing in it?

W P S Construction

Last weekend while Josh was in Lubbock, Lila and I loaded up with Honey, GP and the Woods and headed to Dallas for Wyatt's 3rd birthday.

It was a WPS (Wyatt Purdy Smith) construction party. When we walked up to this precious wreath on the door, I knew we were in for a GREAT party. Caryn outdid herself yet again.

Here are some of the "work" stations on the construction sight:)

Lila LOVED the sand pile!

There were golf tees ready to be hammered into the bricks.

The Purdy family

The delicious and precious food.

When the guests left Wyatt got to open his presents. I think both he and his brother were very excited to see all the awesome loot!

Wyatt, even though in my mind you should still look like this, I am so glad that you are 3!! You are the funniest, cutest, sweetest, snaggle toothed little Y guy in the world. Happy birthday!! We love you so much!

Happy Birthday Josh!!

Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday to you. Happy Birthday dear Josh. Happy Birthday to you. On the 11th Josh marked 32 years! His parents took us on a trip to Las Vegas to celebrate:) Before we left, Lila and I took Daddy out to dinner. His gift was getting his teeth whitened, so we did that first. Lila was so glad to get this balloon that she didn't mind waiting.

We finished the party at Honey and GP's. Lila stayed with them while we went off to LV!

Crazy picture, but had to get the sign in:)

We had so much fun with Josh's parents and sister and husband. We played a lot of black jack. While the boys learned craps, I got addicted to the Wheel of Fortune slot machine!!! Like a little mouse waiting to ring the bell, I would put in my $20 and hope to just spin the wheel. Why is it okay to throw your money away in Vegas?? but not in the "real world"? Oh well.

During the days we spent our time out at the pool. The Golden Nugget has an amazing pool with a huge slide that goes through a shark tank. It was a little cold, but we couldn't resist:)

Sunday night we went to the Wynn to see the new Cirque de Solie show La Reve. This was the beautiful garden in the hotel.

Here is just a taste of the ending of the show. It. was. amazing!!! So crazy to me that people can do that without ropes or a net underneath to catch them!

By the last day we were ready to get back and see our baby. We had a GREAT time and Josh had a very happy birthday!

Easter Party!

This Good Friday my sisters and I threw a backyard Easter party at my parents house. If you have read any of our blogs for a while, then you know we LOVE a good party!

Lila was in awe of the big basket of eggs ready to be hidden!

Some of the decorations and activities.

While the eggs were being hidden, the REAL Easter bunny showed up and did the Bunny Hop!

Lila was terrified (even though the voice inside sounded just like Mommy's:)

We had a great time and hope to keep the Good Friday party on the calendar for many years to come!

Austin Staycation!

Two weekends ago Josh and I went on a mini staycation to Austin! We had tried to several months ago and it didn't work out. Cha Cha, Josh's mom, came in town to watch Lila for us. Not only did she take care of Lila (and the more challenging counterpart, Cooper), she brought us new furniture! Pics of the couches coming soon.

On this weekend we decided to eat, shop and eat! Right when we got there, we headed to one of our favorites, Matt's. Josh was really excited to pose for this picture!

Saturday we went to brunch at the Iron Cactus and walked around 6th street. They were having the Urban Race that weekend, so we got to see some hilarious costumes!! My favorite were the bad wedding dress team:)

After lunch, we went to have a couples massage and then laid by the pool at our hotel. It was FABULOUS! After napping, yes napping folks, we got ready for dinner. We went to Eddie V's on 5th st. So yummy!

We laughed as we walked down 6th street after, how old we have gotten. We went straight back to the hotel after dinner and didn't even attempt the crowds:) The point of the weekend was to rest and relax after all.

On Sunday we stopped in Round rock at the outlets to shop. We found way too much stuff! While we waited for the stores to open, we had a good time on the kiddie rides!

After hitting our limit, (money and time) we headed back home to our precious Lila. She was having so much fun with Cha Cha that she didn't even really care that we came back.

This is the best photo I could get of the girl b/f Cha Cha left. Gwen, thank you so much for taking such good care of Lila so we could go enjoy ourselves for the weekend! We had a great time!!

Happy Easter!

Happy Easter!!!!! I can't believe it's already April, but I am beyond thrilled that Spring has sprung! We had an early Easter celebration with friends and family here in Waco. (pics of the party to come). This morning we tried to go take bluebonnet pictures with the cousins. The sun was so bright that the little eyes weren't having it.

This is the best picture I got of the group:)

Two pretty princesses in their Easter best!

We tried a shot when we got home and got some better smiles. It was either the shade or the ring pops promised to the kiddos:) Love these little Purdy kids.

I hope you all have a fabulous Easter with your families too!

He is risen! He is risen indeed!!!
