Baby Update

Well, it's almost 10:00 pm on Saturday night and I am sitting here like a crazy person! In 24 hours I will be checking into the hospital to begin the induction process. They will start the medicine to thin my cervix tomorrow night and then start the pitocin to start contractions early Monday morning. My whole family is in town for a late Thanksgiving and Josh's gets here tomorrow. We are all so excited to meet this little baby!
For the past 9 months I have been praying, planning, and thinking of all the amazing and wonderful things that will come when she gets here, but tonight I am remembering that she is about to be her own person in a separate body than mine. I can no longer protect her every move
. I know that she will fall down, get hurt , get sick and sometimes have really bad days. I just hope that tomorrow is not one of those days. Please pray for us, that we would have a safe and healthy delivery. I will get someone in the family to post some pictures as soon as we can . Thanks for your thoughts and prayers!

Thanksgiving memories!

This is a photo that I keep on our fridge. It is Josh and me 8 years ago on Thanksgiving day. He was in his second year of med school and I was a sophomore at Tech. (19 yrs old)! We went out to Granny's house in Crosbyton and I met his extended family for the first time.

They showed me all the embarrassing photos and were so fun. We had been dating throughout the summer and fall. It was on the way back to Lubbock that I remember looking at him and thinking, "I love this guy". I told him that night that I knew I wanted to be with him forever.
I am so thankful all these years later that I still love spending Thanksgiving with him. God really knew what he was doing binging him into my life! Now as we sit here days away from meeting our little girl, I love him more than ever. I am so very thankful for my growing family!

Doggie Days are Ending!

For the past 6 years Cooper has been the "ruler of the roost", the only child, the King of the hill. Now every time we are in Lila's room he has this confused look on his face.

He sniffs the bags we have packed every time he walks past them.

Sorry buddy, but your life is about to be drastically changed.

Ahh! The nursery is finished!

After sewing the last pillow for the nursery, it is finally done. And with time to spare! One week and counting!!

This is the far corner of the room.

These are when you first walk into the nursery.

These hooks are on the other side when you walk into the room.

Here are some friends that are ready and waiting for Lila! Fredrick the monkey, Babs the bunny and Cooper Jr.

The crib

The changing table on the opposite wall.

A daily reminder of how lucky we are!

This is the corner by the closet.

Now all we need to make the room complete is one Lila Elizabeth Warren! We are so excited to meet you!

Almost Time!

I had another doctors appt. today. Lila is doing great and really moving things along. I am dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced! I am so excited that things are progressing. We are scheduled to induce on December 1st and I was feeling a little worried about being induced without any natural progression. Dr. Jurney says that with the way things are going, I should be ready to go! That is in 10 days! I can't believe how soon she will be here! A second reason to celebrate, I only have 4 more days of school! I love my kiddos, but at 38 weeks it's hard to be patient with anyone! Please keep praying for us as the countdown continues.

Finally a Glider!

After what seems like a million year we finally got our glider today! Thanks Nana! We love it!
I ordered it almost 5 months ago. I finally got the company to answer me why it was so late. They said that the fabric I had chosen had been discontinued. I made a different choice and because of the wait we got free pink detail and free delivery!

When I got home from work today I just sat it her nursery forever. I keep thinking of all the things we have to look forward to once she is here! I can hardly wait! I go to the doctor Friday and find out if there has been any progress!

New Hospital Gown

This weekend when I was home feeling extra sorry for myself for missing out on the Tech game (GO RED RAIDERS!!!!) I did a little retail therapy from my couch. I bought this precious hospital gown from B.Y.O.G. (Bring Your Own Gown). It is the same company that made Tori Spelling's from her show. I think my Nana and my mom have passed down the notion that it is good to have something new to wear for special occasions. The birth of my daughter is DEFINITELY a special occasion. I only have 3 1/2 weeks left of work! The countdown has started!!
