Purdy Family Visit

As I have mentioned in past posts, Josh and I are moving to Waco this summer. He finishes his fellowship program at the end of June and then it's off to central Texas!!! We are SO excited to go to a smaller town and set up shop. Josh will literally be setting up his own private practice while Lila and I will be enjoying the simplicity of all things Waco. As the time gets closer we are realizing how much there is to do. All the joys of moving, starting a new business, buying our first house, etc...etc... The problem is with any free time we have, all we want to do is spend time with our great friends here in Houston before we leave :( So much to do, so little time!

This past weekend we went to Waco to look for a house! We saw about 15 houses all over the place. We really liked several of them and are planning on seeing more when we go back. Josh got to go rub elbows with some important people at the ribbon cutting of the new Hilcrest Hospital and as always, we had a great visit with the fam.

We went to Practically Picasso to paint Lila's 3 month footprint and Ally's 2 year hand print for Mom's kitchen.

Here is Honey's masterpiece! Lila's first tile to add to the wall.

Here are the sweet cousins with Uncle Mark watching B-ball.

At lunch with Honey and GP.

Here is our first attempt at bluebonnet pictures. We are going to try again on a less windy day:)

Lila was very curious what these things were??

3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days old

Today Lila is 3 months, 3 weeks and 3 days old. (Thanks ticker) Here she is having a little tummy time. About 5 seconds later we had to change out of this cute dress thanks to all the drool. Lila is teething already. I thought I wouldn't have to worry about that for a long time, but Josh's whole family got their teeth really early and it looks like she is too. Maybe she is just practicing? We'll see :)

She really loves checking herself out in the mirror. She makes all sorts of expressions to that "other baby" with her eyebrows. Looks like we may have a flirt on our hands!

Being this cute is hard work!

We're Baaaack...

Wondering where we have been? Last week our computer broke :( It made some crazy flashes on the screen and then it just died. Josh does tele-medicine a couple times a week from the house so we really needed to get a new one. (Not to mention how much we rely on it for other things...kinda scary). Luckily he decided to back up our hard drive a few days before the loss on Carbonite. We are still having issues getting all of our files back. I hope that it's just really slow and not because it can't find all my pictures...GASP!!

This is an update of what miss Lila has been up to since we last posted. The top picture is our first ponytail!! I know she looks a bit like Bam Bam, but c'mon how cute is that :)

My sweet friend Kelly drove in from San Antonio to meet Lila. We had planned on spending the whole weekend together, but Shallowater made it to the State basketball torunament so we headed out on Thursday to Austin.

Josh's dad is the superintendent in Shallowater and their boys bball team went to State!! Cha Cha made Lila a Shallowater Mustang onesie to cheer on the team. We were literally sitting on the second row in the drum. Lila was a little scared from all the noise. (esp her Daddy and Grumps yelling)!

Josh and his dad used to go down to the tournament every year. They were in hog heaven!

In true Texas fashion it was unseasonably FREEZING that weekend. Lila couldn't move her arms in her coat. She slept all day snug as a bug.

We had so much fun with the Warrens!

This week we have loved being outside. Hooray for Spring!!

Cooper and Lila together don't pose well for the camera :)

Lila's big accomplishment... She found her toes!!! (...And made up for all the lost pounds she lost while sick :)

We are all feeling well and glad to be back in the blogging world!

Playdate and the Dentist

Lila is finally starting to feel better and so am I. She is making up for lost time with her eating and is sleeping good at night again. Still in her car seat, but whatever keeps the coughing away is good with us! Today I had like 4 hours of dentist work done :( I swear I take good care of my teeth now, but apparently eating skittles in bed growing up will stay with you forever! Not fun at all for me, but Lila got to go play with Shannon and Justin. Thanks Shannon!

Here sweet Justin is playing with her on her mat.

Oh what a sweet little boy. Love the kisses!!

This is one of several Shannon took of Lila for her 3 month pictures. Sweetest smile ever!!!

RSV SUX

Today was set to be my first day back at school. Josh and I decided in January that I was going to stay home with Lila. Since we are moving in July (to Waco we finally decided), going back and having to find child care for just three months didn't make much sense. I feel so blessed that we are able to make this work. Josh has picked up more moonlighting shifts to make up the difference. I have been missing my kids so much and I was planning on going by today to visit with them and explain my decision. Unfortunately, when I took Lila to the doctor this morning they discovered she has RSV. To steal a note form my sister Cary, RSV SUX! I am so glad we took her when we did. She has to a breathing treatment 3 times a day that she hates, but hopefully will be feeling better soon. All this to say, I would have had to take off the first few days back to work to take care of her. This just reaffirms my decision to stay home. Please pray for our little girl to recover soon!

3 Months Old!!!

Oh...my...goodness! What a chunky monkey! Lila is 3 months old today. She is such a happy, sweet little girl. I don't realize how big she has gotten until I look back at her other month pictures on the side of the blog. She has learned some new tricks this month.

* She brings both hands together.
* She reaches for everything, esp Daddy's beard :)
* She want to put everything in her mouth.
* She laughs a lot more and talks all day long.
* Her hair is getting even lighter.

Here are some more shots from our photo shoot. (Thanks Cha Cha for the precious outfit! We tried the hat but it was still too big) :( It took a while to get a shot without our hands in our mouth! See below

She loves to watch TV with us!

This weekend our poor baby has been sick. She caught whatever Josh and I have had. We are going tomorrow to make sure no RSV or anything else scary.

This little piggie has been a big help!

Happy 3 months baby! Feel better soon.
