Caroline is 18 months!

My Sweet Caroline is 18 months old!  What?  A year and a half?!   I know!  How did this happen?  She has changed so very much since she was born.  Look at this picture and tell me this is the same kid?!

She is so sweet and so funny.  She is very verbal...even more than Lila!  Oh dear!  The talking may never stop :)  She pretty much attempts to say whatever we say.  My favorite right now is flamingo...it comes out amigo.  Elmo, Ariel and Hello all sound the same, which you wouldn't think matters but, Elmo usually means she has a wet diaper.  Weird, I know, but there is a picture of Elmo on it :)

Her favorite color is purple and she wants everything to be purple!?  She loves shoes, scrambled eggs, Yo Gabba Gabba, pretending to talk on the phone, and her family...esp her Aunties and baby Brady!  She is a sorter and a gatherer.  She doesn't like to be told no and so as long as you don't do that, she's a doll ;)

Loving on Brady!

Her BFFs!

Thank you God for knowing we needed a funny little Caroline Caprice angel in our lives!!

3 1/2...and don't forget the half!

Lila Elizabeth had her half birthday on June 1st and now is 3 1/2!!!!  I didn't really know that adding the half onto your age mattered SO very much this early, but it totally does.  She is getting so big!  I know it sounds so cliche, but these years are going too fast!  Some Most days around here are really exhausting mentally, emotionally and physically and take all I have to get through, (that may be because of a certain little sister too), but before I know it, she will be starting real school, having sleepovers and not thinking I am so cool anymore :(  I wanted to post some of her 3 1/2 funnies so I could remember how precious she was now, when she is a teenager!

*  She talks ALL day long!!  Mostly questions, but also some hilarious misused words. She constantly misuses or mis-says the words, so embarrassing, exactly, absolutely and actually.

* If she isn't talking, she's singing.  She really knows several songs now, but would rather make up her own, usually involving Jesus, stars and whatever scenes she might be looking at while song writing:)  She also likes to sing along to my music even if she doesn't know the words.  She will watermelon watermelon her way all the way through a song.

*She is really into gender roles and forces all boys she plays with to be the bad guys or knights.  (really working on the bossy pants)!

*She tells Daddy his car smells like boy stink!  HA!

*Loves to go on "adventures" anywhere we go.  Very good at imagining she is living in a Dora episode.  Map and all :)

* 99% of the time SO helpful and sweet to her little sister.

*Loves gymnastics and swimming this summer!

*Learned to chew gum and constantly wants a piece.

*Really interested in Jesus and Heaven.  Has some of the most challenging questions about God! Humbling this Mommy for sure!

On her 1/2 birthday we celebrated with some cupcakes and cousins!

B man even got in on the celebration!

Formal attire.

Not so formal :)

Lila we love you more every day!  Now stop growing up, OK?!

Lila's First Dance Recital

This year Lila did ballet at Jenni Holly dance studio.  She LOVED it and was so precious at her recital last weekend.  One of her favorite things about the recital was that Ally was there too!!  These two look WAY too old in lip gloss and blush!!

I was a little under the weather, but by looking at the smile in this picture...Do you think I was proud?!

Lots of fans out in the audience ready to watch the show.

Getting ready backstage. Did I mention Ally was there?!

Such a precious group of animals :)

Phil and Gwen got to be there to see the wild animals.

Proud grandparents!

and Auntie!!

My family got Lila her first James Avery charm, beautiful ballet shoes.

The girls showing off their new bling!

Lila and her sweet monkey friend Ainsley.

No fear for this little performer.

I was so proud of how brave and confident Lila was.  We had a wonderful year in ballet this year.

Memorial Day at the Lake House

For Memorial Day we went down to LBJ for the first of hopefully many fun summer weekends!  I hadn't been down to Kingsland since last Labor day, so we were all chomping at the bits to get in the water.  GP let the kiddos help him line the property with flags to celebrate!

These two girls were ready to go!

The first day it was just the Warrens and the Purdys.  It was nice to get to watch how excited the girls were about everything without the worry of being "cool like the big cousins".  Lila told GP at least ten times on the first boat ride, "thank you.  This is the most awesome __ fill in the blank ever".  Love that she loves the lake. (the bunk beds, the stairs, the oscillating fans, the snacking all day and most of all the cousins)

Playing on the blow up slide.

The early bird special eaters enjoyed this fine dining spot all weekend.  Genius!

This picture makes me so happy :)

Miss C fell asleep on the boat just about every time we went out.

Love the boat hair!

My Granny Liz had the most amazing "going dancing" clothes that my sisters and all our friends used to LOVE to dress up in.  It made my heart so happy to see these little cousins doing the same thing.  Hilarious!

Looking forward to many more fun trips down to the lake house!!

E and F

One random day a few weeks ago, we had nothing to do... so I decided to try to do another letter day with Lila.  Since I hadn't planned it in advance, it was a little thrown together and random.  The good thing is three year olds don't care :)  She woke up to a giant E.  She quickly told me that we needed a lower case e too!  For breakfast she got to "Eat" cereal ;)

We then practiced writing e with our "only on special occasion markers".  She did so good!

She helped me crack some Eggs (for my breakfast).

Then we painted an Elephant.

We made a quick trip to the zoo to see the Eagles.

Caroline was here for the fun too!

Such a good helper :)

Lucky for us some familiar faces were making a day of it too!

Then the main attraction...the Elephant!

After nap we started with F.  We made a list of all the things in the house that started with F, and decided what to do next.  She, of course, wanted to dress as a fairy tale princess and then I had a surprise for her.  We went to the fire station and climbed on the fire trucks.  It was SO super awesome!!  I didn't know they would actually let us go in them.  I just asked if it would be okay to take a picture and this super nice fireman came and told us all about them.

To end the day we had a very healthy dinner of fish sticks, french fries, french style green beans, fig newtons and fruit.

These days are so fun for Lila and Momma too!
