Lights On....Lights Off

Every day when Josh gets home he gets the warmest welcome from little miss. She starts to look for him as soon as Cooper goes nuts from hearing the garage. When he gets into the room she smiles a HUGE smile and says the only word so far, "Da Da" over and over. The excitement is mutual. Josh loves coming home to his girls! For the past week, when Daddy goes to get his snack out of the pantry, these two have been playing a fun game. I decided to sneak in and film the fun today.

I love how simple things entertain this girl to no end! You should see what she can do with a spoon :)

Aches and Pains

Looking at this picture you might wonder why Lila looks so happy and Cooper looks so sad? Well...we had just gon to the doctor and it wasn't for Lila. She was thrilled not to be the one in the hot seat. Cooper on the other hand, not so lucky. While he was jumping on the fence barking at the neighbors dogs (at 8 am) he apparently sprained his elbow?

He is recovering nicely, so I can say serves him right. Poor pitiful thing. I guess at 42 he isn't as flexible as he thinks.

After taking his pain pills, this is where we spent the afternoon while I painted.

This is where Lila spends most of her time these days. It's amazing how much she is moving now. She doesn't want to use her knees. She is an expert at downward facing dog :)

You would think that with all this work she would be exhausted and sleeping really good. HA! Teething has destroyed our schedule at night. We were finally back on a full night sleep after the move and traveling and now she is getting up several times every night just screaming and wearing me out. The real kicker is once this tooth is all the way in, others will soon follow. I guess moms just aren't supposed to be well rested? Good thing she is such a doll the rest of the time. (Yes, that is a Tylenol bottle in her hand. We love our Tylenol, but don't worry the lid is on tight. It is one of her favorite teethers).

So to wrap up...Cooper on pain meds, Lila on pain meds and mommy wishing she could take a good sleeping pill :)

The Hub City!

This past weekend we were planing on going to lake LBJ with the Warren side of the fam when we got news that Josh's Granny fell and broke her pelvis. Of course we decided to go and visit with her instead. We LOVE a good Lubbock weekend :) This top picture is Lila Lew helping me pack (with her first pair of pig tails)!! So sweet.

My Nana lives in Lubbock and we were so excited to go visit her!! It has been way to long.

Lila did her best to show Nana all of her new tricks; crawling backwards, rolling across the room, laughing at herself and a new tooth!! (That has made the past week interesting:)

Granny was doing so much better than she should have been! Can you imagine just sitting on a broken pelvis! Lila helped distract from the yuckiness of the rehab hospital. We are glad to report that she out and at home with the Warrens.

While we were there we also got to celebrate Cha Cha's birthday! Grumps planned a party for the grandkids. He couldn't decide which cake she would like best, so he got 2. So sweet:)

Mia, Lila, Blaine and Presley helped blow out the candles. They couldn't wait to eat some cake!!

That night we got a sitter so we could go have some grown up time:) We had a yummy dinner at Las Brisas. It was so fun to see everyone with out screaming, diaper changes, tantrums, and high chairs. We had a great time visiting LBK and are so glad to be in driving distance now!! See you soon for Willie!

Return from China

My parents are finally back from Hong Kong!! They have been gone for 2 weeks on a mission trip. We went to pick them up in Austin and as you can see from Lila's face, we were very happy to see them :)

They had a wonderful time and ministered to a wide variety of people over there. While they are adjusting back to Texas time my sister Angie had us all over for dinner. They gave Lila and Ally these authentic Chinese pajamas. I couldn't resist posting a few pic of the China dolls!

I love this picture because Lila looks twice as big as Ally:)

Playing with some other Honey and GP gifts.

Ally with a bun and all!

Sweet Pea

GP and his girls. (Lila is teething and wouldn't take her hand out of her mouth and Ally kept giving a traditional Chinese hello...Ne How)?

We are so glad God called these two to China and are so thankful that he brought them home safely!

Dr. Warren's Office

This past week has been crazy busy for us. We have been trying to get not only our house in order, but this weekend we worked on Josh's office too. Here is a picture of the future Dr. Warren trying out daddy's chair. (this chair was Josh's moms when she was counseling children at her office).

She scooted around the office for an hour and I found her in the corner up to no good :)

She made this framed hand print for Daddy for Father's Day to put on his desk. We are so proud and so thankful that he is such a great doctor and an even better Dad!

7 months old and a move!

Lila is 7 months old (and very patriotic)! I am a little late in posting b/c this has been the craziest week ever. We moved to Waco last Wednesday!!! We are so excited to be home owners, but the first week has been a little rough. The electric company mis-scheduled our turn on and said there was really nothing they could do to get it on any faster, thanks so much. Then 2 days later when they did, the air conditioner was broken. Not the best time of year for no AC in Texas. Turns out we have a fire ant problem that attacked our unit. Cooper is staying at mom and dad's until we get that fixed...Oh, but they are in Hong Kong on a mission trip, so we are driving back and forth all day to check on him:) Also, the hot water heater is broken. Luckily, we have been so hot a cold shower feels pretty good.

***On a side note, Josh and I seem to be breaking air conditioners everywhere we go. The beach condo, our house, the lake house??? If we come over, watch out???

Back to miss Lila. She has been very good with the whole moving process :) She has slept in so many different places this week. She is so flexible. She LOVES that our living room has carpet now! She puts her face down on it and just rubs it while squeeling with joy. She is getting up on all fours and rocking pretty good now. She moves backwards all across the room. She can find all sorts of things that I didn't even know where on the floor. She is sitting up great and just an overall happy girl.

Here we are right after we signed on the house! More pics to come once I can find the camera charger.
