Big Two Year Old!

Oh my precious Lila.... I can't believe that you are two years old tomorrow!  How is that possible?  I feel like you are still my little baby.  My sweet, funny, curious baby.  Just home from the hospital, but your not!  You are a big, GIANT two year old!  You are the most talkative two year old I have ever met.   You say something new every day that amazes me (and lets me know you are watching my every move:) You love to sing and dance.   I am so proud of you and the little girl that yo are becoming.  You have such a  happy spirit.  I pray that it will stay that way forever.  You LOVE your family so much; Mommy and Daddy and your extended family (dogs included).  I love the age you are right now the best of any we have had so far! You are SO MUCH FUN!!   I am so glad that God picked me to be your Mommy :)  Happy Birthday!!!

Lindsey's Wedding

This weekend was one of my best friend Lindsey's wedding.  By luck, Josh was gone to Austin taking his board exam:)  Perfect timing as usual.  Thank the Lord for my family!!!  My sister kept Lila both nights and my parents had her during the day.  Lila thought it was a special treat to get to stay in Ally's room with her and didn't miss me at all.  Thank goodness, because, I was busy....

Friday night we had the rehearsal  and then a lovely rehearsal dinner at the Arboretum.

Saturday morning we had a pedicure and brunch party.  Such a fun way to start off the day.   Personalized glasses for mimosas:)

Some of my hs friends enjoying the pampering; Jessica, Annesa, Me, Lindsey and Katy.

After enjoying some real Czech kolaches I went home and put my feet up for a bit, childless, thank you GP and Honey.  Then I was off for hair and makeup and to the church.  The beautiful bride getting ready!

The wedding was beautiful and thankfully for this 9th month preggers, short and sweet:)  Then after changing into my flip flops we were off to the Palladium for the reception.

Mr. and Mrs. Bryan Cockrell

The HS ladies - Jessica + Caroline:)

Josh made it back in time for the reception and we had a great time dancing the night away.  SO happy for Lindsey and Bryan.

Silly Dancers

When I moved here a year and a half ago, (can't believe it's been that long), I was adopted into a playgroup of my sisters friends.  Now I am so blessed to call these ladies my friends too!  We get together every Wednesday morning so that the kids Mommies can play. I have loved watching all these kiddos get so big.  Some can't come now b/c they are in school, some new ones have been born and joined and the rest have become great friends.

That said, every Wednesday at playgroup Lila has the exact same melt down.  Ally and Aubrey get changed for dance and the tears begin.  They started just because she needed to do exactly what her beloved Ally was doing, but now that she has tasted the dance class itself (see previous post), she is hooked!  She wants SO badly to go to dance with them.  This week since we were at our house, I let her put on a special outfit too and dance it up.

Funky Ballerina:) Is it just me, or does she look about 5 years old in this picture!!!!  Don't you love the naked girl, tutu, rain boot combo!  Funny thing is I have a picture of me about this age dressed very similar when my two big sisters were off at their dance recital and I was too little to go:)

Here are all three girls "dancing"!  Love the attitude:)  Sadly, when they left and she realized she wasn't going, the same fit happened.  At least we had fun while it lasted!!

Pregnant Lady out on the Town!

Last weekend I went to one of my besties Lindsey's bachelorette party in Dallas.   I wasn't sure I would be up for it at 34 weeks pregnant, but I was feeling great and am so glad I went.  Josh took Lila to Lubbock to visit his parents, so I had the whole weekend off!  It was much needed.

Saturday started off with pedicures!

Then on to hotel ZaZa.  We got ready and started the lingerie shower.  The beautiful bride to be.

Most of the group on our way to dinner.

We had a FUN diner and drinks in Uptown Park.  Amazingly, at the same time my preggo body was about to give out (I wore heels for goodness sake) the party decided to go dancing at our hotel.  I was able to go upstairs and lay down.  It was a great time!  Now, let's just hope Carolice will cooperate for the wedding in 10 days:)

Surprise Baby Shower

Josh has his private office with a group of fabulous therapists called the Center for Children and Families.  They share an office manager, waiting room, etc. They have been so fabulous to Josh while he was getting his practice off the ground.  Last week they threw him a surprise baby shower!!  They bought such great stuff for baby Caroline and even some treats for big sister Lila!  I would have loved to see him opening all these tiny baby girl clothes and blankets with such enthusiasm:)  We feel so blessed by all the outpouring of support and love for sweet Caroline!

The Adventures of Minnie Mouse

This Halloween was so much fun!  Minnie Mouse was busy!!  Lila is old enough to want to dress up, but not old enough to really care or know why she was dressed like Minnie Mouse!  On Thursday we went to the park to celebrate with our playgroup.  Cutie pies :)

When we changed into our play clothes, she and Hudson were matching!  Love those future Red Raiders!

On Friday we had the Fall Festival at our church.  Lucky for us, a couple of pirates were in town from Dallas joined by a beautiful lady bug and Jango Fett :)

Lila was all about the games.  She was actually pretty good at them.  Her favorite one was in the toddler room where there is a big peg board full of dum dums and you walk up and get to take them!! Hilarious and just on her wave length.

On Sunday night we kept it low key and went trick or treating around the neighborhood.

Lila LOVED getting to knock on all the doors and say "Trick or Treat".  She just didn't really understand staying on the porch.  She walked right into every house we went to :)

Luckily, we knew our first house pretty well!

Lila insisted on pulling the wagon herself rather than riding in it.  So, we didn't last very long.  What a fun time this year was!!!

Caroline's Baby Shower

Last Thursday evening some great friends threw baby Caroline and me a shower.  In my opinion it was the cutest baby shower ever!!!  The theme came from the verse Psalm: 139.  "For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.  I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made".  Everything was just precious and perfect for me!

The fabulous hostesses (plus 1).  Heather, Kristiana, Angie, Me, Caryn and Katy.  The shower was supposed to be at Angie's house, but then we found out she had mono.  Not wanting to send everyone home with that as a party favor, my friend Katy stepped up and offered her house.  Such great friends!!

 Mama and Caroline:)

The sign in table.  "You knit me together"  on spools of yarn!!  So cute!

 Precious Krispy Banana clothesline.

The dessert table.  Love the big balls of yarn everywhere!

All the yummy desserts:)

Yarn wrapped letters that just happen to match Caroline's nursery.

My sweet sister Caryn and me with our double baby bumps.

Purdy family girls :)

The guests in a very dark photo :)

Can you believe all these girls are pregnant too!  So fun to know Caroline will have so many buddies!!

I got so many wonderful gifts for Caroline!  I feel so blessed and thankful to all these girls!  Such a fun night!

The favors were little mini sewing kits.  I couldn't get the picture to upload, but I'm sure you can imagine:)
