James Wright 3 Months!

Well he's almost 4 months now, but I don't want to miss the chance to do his THREE month post!  My sweet little man is getting so big!!  The day I did his pictures, he wasn't having it.  Come to think of it, the day we did his pictures for the wall at church he wasn't having it either?!  Maybe he isn't going to ham it up for the camera like my girls?  He is such a happy, smiley little guy all the time, so I'm sad I can't capture it on camera for you.  He turns inside out when I talk to him, but then I put my face behind the camera and nothing!

 The whole gang :)

He is still the sweetest thing I ever saw.  He loves his Momma and already doesn't like it when I leave the room or put him down.  He is 15 lbs and wearing 6-9 month clothes.  He is in size 2 diapers and eating every three hours.  He gets up once, sometimes twice to eat at night, but is still pretty inconsistent.  We just moved him to his own room at night and even though it made me feel really sad :(, I hope it helps him sleep better.  He usually naps 3 times a day.  Sadly, at least one of them is in the car.  He has started laughing and there is no better sound!  He can roll from his tummy to his back and really wants to do the other way too.  He has started grabbing hair, bibs, etc and thinks it's hilarious.  So, he's pretty much perfect!  Just kidding, but I think he's pretty close!

Here's hoping we get the sleep thing figured out soon :)

4th of July

The 4th of July was spent at my parent's lake house on lake LBJ.  I think all but about three of my July fourths have been spent there.  I LOVE this place.  We went down on Wednesday and had a long weekend celebrating!  I didn't get my camera out much between holding the baby and playing in the water, but I do have a couple cute family pics.

All the cousins were there too, except Brady, He was sick :( and we had so much fun!!

We are so blessed to share such great times and memories with our family!  (...Not so blessed to share a horrific stomach bug with all the cousins that came home with us all :/ ) I try every holiday that we get to spend together to remind myself how lucky we are to have healthy kids, parents and grandparents who genuinely love each other.  So thankful for these people.  Happy 4th!

Lila's Dance Recital

Way back when, Lila had her dance recital.  She was just fabulous!  This year she had both tap and ballet.  She was a little bored this year in dance, but come recital time, she was in heaven.  She has always loved to perform for us, but it was fun to she her light up on stage.  Also, the fact that she got to wear a little make up was so cool for her.  It made me tear up a little to see how beautiful and old she looked, like a little glimpse into the future.

...Um diddle liddle liddle um diddle lye... (No idea about the actual words here, but that is the part of the song where she does this little hip shake :)

 Backstage

Caroline has been watching Lila practice all year and was SO excited to miss nap and come watch the show.

 Along with these other fans!

She got some beautiful flowers and a charm from her posse.  We were so proud of her!

Caroline is 2 1/2

Because our girls were born 5 days apart ( 2 years and 5 days) Caroline had her 2 1/2 birthday that next week.  We did celebrate her too, I promise, but sadly have no proof of it :(  When we asked her what she wanted to do, she said, "stay home and play princesses with Lila."  Sweet Caroline!  She copies everything Lila does, says, eats, breathes these days.  Thank goodness Lila is a pretty sweet leader.  We made pink cupcakes per her request and had her favorite beans, rice, chips and queso brought over for lunch by her Aunt Cary.  She asks for those four things every night for dinner.  I'm pretty sure she thinks beansricechipsandqueso is one word and also a food group ;)

My sweet Caroline is becoming one of the funniest people I know.  She is hilarious to watch and talk to.  She tries to be funny and silly sometimes, but most of the time it's by accident and just how she is.

Her favorite thing to wear is still her pink Dora nightgown.  We wash and re-wear it several times a week.  She likes to wear her hot pink tennis shoes with every outfit.  When you ask her why she says, "so I can be really fast!"  Most days she likes to look like this :)

She asks to wear her hair in a brave most mornings. (Braid) Her favorite toy is a box of Dora tissues.  She takes them everywhere!  Ha!

She has a very sensitive nose and will stick two fingers up her nose if she doesn't approve what she smells...dinner, car exhaust, her brother's diapers ;)  If she doesn't like something you tell her to do she says, "I not do that."  She's learning that it isn't always up to her.  She eventually says, "If you say so!"  She loves to tell secrets and jokes usually involving her beloved grandparents and rainbows :)  Love this funny, beautiful girl SO much!!!
