A Taste of the Wild

This year Lila has been in preschool at Woodway Christian School on T'uesdays and Thursdays.  She has the sweetest class and the most amazing teachers!  Also, the administrator is the best Honey/Mom in the world!!  48 hours after our latest fever bug we got to go watch Lila sing at the schools annual fund raiser, Taste of the Wild.

The preschoolers sang two songs Putting on the Armor of God...Did I mention I LOVE this school :)

We got to watch our big cousins sing too.  Double Trouble!

After a yummy Rosa's dinner we had the silent auction.  Lila was the proud winner of one month of gymnastics and the Crayola basket.  We have more markers and crayons than most families would ever need.  With these two budding artists, we'll use them up in a few months!

Sweet friends:)

Caroline's besties were there too!

Sad part of the night came at 3 am when Lila got sick with the stomach bug.  That's one thing we didn't want to bring home with us!

Caroline's Big Girl Room!

In January we changed Carolin'e room into a BIG girl room!  We wanted to give it enough space from James Wright's homecoming so that she didn't feel booted out of the crib (even though that's basically what happened) We I was torn on weather or not I wanted the girls to share a room.  I shared with my big sister growing up and loved it!  She may have different memories of sharing a room with her four year younger little sister ;), but I thought it was awesome!

Also, since I have gotten used to having a play room, I thought that it might be nice to keep a place for all the "stuff" and make the baby's room Caroline's old room.  After going back and forth a lot, we decided that everyone would sleep better if they had their own space and putting the girls down one hall and the baby across the house might keep the noise away from him.  This required some interesting placements of some of the bigger toys and getting rid of tons of stuff.  You can't really fit anything else into the girls closets because of toys and craft supplies, but I think we made it work pretty good.

Here is a view of the room from the door.  I got this beautiful set of antique twin beds on Craigslist then painted them with Chalk Paint.  Because of where the closet and door is in her room, only one would fit without filling the entire room.  I have the other in storage for when the girls get a little bigger or we have a different house because I just love two twin beds :)

The storage cube from the playroom went on the front wall.  It houses lots of books, puzzles, tea sets, etc...

 My sweet baby!!

The "art" table.  Lila comes in and uses it more than Caroline, but this is where it would fit :)

The Pianist's corner

I saw this pretty chandelier on Pinterest and made it for Miss C.

Caroline has done great sleeping in the big bed!  She loves telling everyone about her Big Girl Room!  I was relieved to get it done, so that I could start working on the nursery!!  Pictures coming soon :)

Sick of being sick

Where we have been....

I haven't been able to keep up with the blog lately.  It seems like third trimester has come on in full effect.  Making it through the daily stuff is just about all I have in me. We have also been in a really sick season.  Last week was the first full week of being well we had had in over a month!  We had fever virus after fever virus, the worst stomach bug we've ever had and two colds.  We missed so much school and poor pitiful me, missed a month of my MDO days.  It was not fun.  I kept reminding myself how lucky we were that our kids weren't terminally ill and there are so many kids that are.  Also, I'm sure that they were getting it out of their system so that when the baby comes they will be super healthy ;)

While we were house bound, we found any way we could  to fill our time.  LOTS of movies, nail painting, artwork, playing school and some princess training :)

Beautiful artwork.

Decorating for Valentine's Day.

Lots of slumber parties and being babies.

Thank goodness for being well!  We are back in full effect!!
