Too Big

I was holding Lila today before nap time and she just seemed SO big!!!  I guess having Caroline around has made her seem like such a big kid.  She should still be a baby herself... right?  I wish I could take a timer and slow things down.  I am loving this stage!  She is exhausting most of the time and talks non stop, but the things she says are priceless.  I wanted to take a minute and write down some of my favorites.

  • She wants to say the prayer before dinner every night and this is how it goes, "Thank you God for my Mommy".  We have tried to get her to add on to that, but she won't.  I have to admit, I love it :)
  • She LOVES her sister and is always singing to her.  She sings You are My Sunshine in this high pitched adult voice...HILarious!
  • She answers the question, "who wants to_____"? "Lila dos"!
  • She counts "one, two, three, four, five, SIXY, seven...
  • "No Mommy, you not" or "be quiet Mommy".
  • Telling her toys to go to time out.  (The best one was Gerald the Mermaid.  Her GP's name is Gerald. Ha)

Here she is jamming on some tunes.  She does a daily "dancy dance" for her audience :)

"Helping" with every move Caroline makes.

Being Mommy to all of her baby dolls and princesses.

Doing her art work to show Daddy :)

Oh Lila...you are the funniest, sweetest little 2 year old in the world.  I love you so very, very much.  I hope I can always remember you this way!

Precious Cousins

I titled this post Precious Cousins because I  can't seem to think of a better word for these precious pictures!  For new years we drove up to Dallas and did something we have been DYING to do for several weeks...

We got to meet those precious Smith babies!!!  Lila has been talking about Coyt and Crew since before they even arrived.  She has dubbed her tiny twin baby dolls Coyt and Crew. One day they were Santa and Jesus??? Hilarious..., but C and C is much better :)

Caryn and I have been beside ourselves that we hadn't held and loved on our newest nephews and niece, so this moment was SO sweet!!

Uncle Josh with the boys.

Angie gave us these C shirts made by Krispybananakids a while ago.  We were so excited to get them all together in them.  How precious!!!

Since it was new years...we couldn't resist.

Honey with her newest 3!  Doesn't Caroline look like she could eat those two for her snack;)  Precious babies!

Coyt and Crew are used to having a snuggle buddy, but Caroline was a little surprised :)

New Years Day was the Tech bowl game.  While Josh, Stacey, Honey and GP went to the game Caryn and I stayed behind nursing babies.  I don't feel like I was much help to Caryn, but it was so nice to visit and have some company with someone doing the exact same things.

Sisters in their game gear!

Warren fam.

Thanks Smith boys for letting us come play.  You are all four PRECIOUS!!!

Caroline is one month old!

Caroline Caprice Warren is one month old today!!!  The weird thing is I totally believe it. I actually feel like she has been with us WAY longer than that.  She has traveled to Lubbock and Dallas, celebrated cousins birthdays, Christmas, New Years, and been all over town.  Such is the life of the second child :)  She is still a very good baby.  She usually does at least one four hour stretch at night and sleeps all day between her three hour feedings.  As you can tell she is still nursing great :)  She is such a happy baby and a joy to be around.  I can't imagine our family without her.

Everyone who sees her says the same thing, "look at all that hair"!  I wanted to show some pictures of where she got it from.
Lila at one month.  Little clones!

Josh at one month.  See any resemblance?  Ha!!! Lets just hope my girls never grow as much facial hair ;)

Christmas 2010

Due to no nap and staying up late...Lila had to be woken up at 8:00 on Christmas morning.  As you can see, she wasn't too thrilled about that.

But, when she saw that Santa had come, she was excited!

The big girls checked to see if the cookies were gone

While Sleeping Beauty put on lip stick and new shoes :)

After playing with our new toys for a while we loaded up and drove to Granny's house in Crosbyton to celebrate with the extended family!

Granny with her newest great!

Lila loving time with Daddy.

Present craze!

I didn't get any more pictures of all the fun the cousins or the grown ups had because,  I. was. always. nursing.  All weekend! Every fun moment, but totally worth it.  Just look at this Christmas present :)

Thank you Lord for blessing us SO greatly!  Especially for sending your son Jesus.  What a fabulous day!

Christmas Eve at the Warren's

This year we spent Christmas in Shallowater.  We assumed that we would have to come up sometime in January to celebrate, but since Caroline came 2+ weeks early, we were able to be there for real Christmas :)  The drive was less than fun with a baby who needs to stop to nurse and a toddler who needs to stop and go potty and talks NON STOP.  We planned the timing to be when Lila would nap half of the way, but my headstrong girl told me when I told her it was time to go to sleep, "Mommy, I not close my eyes"!  Guess what?  She didn't :)  That new found attitude is for a whole other post...

Sweet Caroline snoozing on the trip.

One very happy Mommy and her girls on Christmas Eve Morning!

Cha Cha and Grumps with their 5 grand kids!!!

After nap time we had our birthday party for Jesus with a delicious red velvet cake. Then it was dress up time.  (That explains the lovely outfits we had on for the rest of the night)!

Sweet cousins ready to open presents.

Blaine SO excited to get his dragon castle!

Sweet Presley and a new Sparkle Barbie.

Mia got a bike!!!

Lila got this hilarious pink piano!

...even Caroline got in on the action.

After many more presents, we had a jam session!

 Lovin' on aunt Rox.

The kiddos spread their reindeer food,

and set out the cookies and milk for Santa.  Then they were off to bed.  Time for grown up presents.

All the "kids" in our new fleeces.  We always have so much fun when it's just the grown ups, but between Santa and new born hours, I was ready for bed.  After a short night we woke up for Christmas Day!!!
