Happy Thanksgiving!

This year for Thanksgiving we had Josh's parents and sister's family here in Waco! It was such a treat! We played outside for three days straight. These sweet kids are the most fun ever! Lila LOVED crawling all over the sidewalk trying to keep up with them.

Last year on Thanksgiving I was anxiously awaiting miss Lila Lew's arrival. This year she is ruling the roost. OH MY!! am I thankful for all the blessings God has given me this year!

Great times with our Great-grandmas!

A couple of weeks ago Lila and I went to visit both my Nana and Josh's Granny in Lubbock. Josh came to meet us and in addition to going to the Tech/OU game (of course) we celebrated Thanksgiving with his extended family.

We went to visit the beauty shop in Crosbyton with Granny. Lila loved all the attention of all the grandmothers there getting their hair done:)

Then we went to stay with Nana. She always has dominoes out for the kids to play with. Lila loved chewing on them.

She also got her toenails painted for the first time! It took and army! I love this picture b/c I could recognize my mom's and my Nana's nails from a mile away. I love them wrapped around Lila's chubby feet!!!

Here are the kiddos at Thanksgiving. Such a fun group.

Josh and I left Lila there with his parents for the first time! It was hard, but much needed for both me and them.

Playground Princess

Is it November...Really?? The 75 degree weather has thrown me for a loop. While my inner fashionista is ready for a winter wardrobe, the little darling I claim is loving playing outside. We play in the front yard, the back yard, the driveway, go for walks, go to the park, but no where is as fun as Honey and Gp's backyard. They have all the toys that our poor back yard is lacking. Thank goodness they are just a few minutes away!

Lila loves climbing on the big cube and going down the slide.

But.... nothing is as GREAT as the swing. I think Santa might need to bring one of these to our house this Christmas!

Bear Crawling

This past week in Waco was Beautiful outside. Lila and I spent many afternoons playing in the front yard. It didn't take her long to discover that she could wonder off the blanket on her own. I guess the fall grass was too prickly for her sweet knees:) She did her version of the bear crawl. I can't believe how close to walking she is!!!

Happy Halloween!

This weekend we were in Lubbock for Halloween. Cha Cha and Grumps watched all 4 kids so we could go to the Tech game! When we got home we saw these 4 cuties ready to go trick or treating!

The new A team: Spider man (in cowboy boots:), sister mermaids and a peacock!

She loved being outside. Sorry for all the pics, but 1st time mom on Halloween. What did you expect?

A sweet ending to a very fun day!

11 Months!

OH My Goodness!! My Lila Lew is 11 months old today! Sniff sniff:( I can't believe she is almost a year old!! Where did my tiny bundle of baby go? She is so big and full of personality (some might call attitude) now. Besides the fact that the girl doesn't like to eat anything I feed her and she is skipping her morning nap, she is more fun now than ever.

Her "words" include no no, mama, dada, puppy, bye bye, night night, and "mmmm" when something tastes good.

This is the back of her peacock costume at playgroup this week. (More Pics from Halloween to come). She LOVES playing with other kiddos. Esp. all of her cousins:) She isn't really sure about the whole sharing thing, but we are working on it.

Her eyelashes and eyebrows seem to have grown in much more this month and she uses them to make the funniest expressions. She love to be the center of attention and make everyone laugh.

Lila is standing up by herself all over the house. She will take a few steps with help, but has no interest in attempting by herself. Why would she when everywhere we go people are happy to hold her? Can you blame them?

Around 5:00 every day this is the look of Miss Crazy Pants herself. She is delirious from the lack of morning nap and filthy from getting into who knows what. I usually strip her down to a diaper and play with her until daddy gets home. She loves making noise :) and has found that blowing into her old medicine dropper makes a lovely whistle. Our Pup Cooper is especially fond of this music.

Lila, as every month before, we am so proud of you. You are the sweetest, most precious girl in the world. I know you are getting bigger and don't want as many Mommy cuddles as before, but it is so fun taking care of you!
