Every Letter Makes a Sound....

All summer I planned on doing letter days with Lila so we could have some sort of organized time to play and focus on big sister Lila.  Well, summer came and went and not one special letter day happened. :(  I really was looking forward to planning them and putting some of my teacher knowledge to work ;) and Lila just LOVES any sort of event...so, we started them a few weeks ago.  Now, since there are 26 letters, we decided to do 2 on our special days; one in the morning and one after nap.

The first morning, she was so excited!  We had Applesauce, "Aqua"donuts and Animal crackers for breakfast.

Then it was on to our Alphabet puzzles.

Next, it was Art time!

After watching the letter factory, (so mommy could feed the baby), we moved on to B.  First we made some Bs out of Blue dough.

Then we went to Barnes and Noble to read Books.

For lunch we had Bananas, Blueberries, Brown rice, Baked chips and Black Beans.

After nap, we read Chicka Chicka Boom Boom and then painted Butterflies.

Very intense artist!

For dinner we had Berries, Banana, Blue Gatorade and alphabet soup.

After a Bubble Bath we watched Bambi (or at least the happy parts) and went to Bed!  Whew...such a fun day!

A couple of weeks later, we attempted our second letter day.  C and D were up this time.  For breakfast we had all of our favorite Cereals...

...and of course a Cookie :)

After watching Curious George, and reading "If You Give a Cat a Cupcake", we made a collage of several C things.  Lila's favorite were the pictures of Cary, Coyt and Crew and of course Caroline and Cooper ;)

Then it was time to go and get some Cupcakes!

We went to Chick-Fil-A and had lunch with our Cousins.  Then of course, we ate our Cupcakes.

After naps, we made a list of all things D!

We went and tried to feed the Ducks.  They weren't very interested.

We watched Dora of course and then had Dinner with Daddy.  Dogs, Dips and Dried strawberries.  Looks yummy huh?

I don't know who has had more fun Lila or me?  Until E and F....:)

Live! @ bath time

Just a look at our girls having some fun in the tub.  Poor Caroline is drowned out almost all the time by the constant stream of Lila's chatter.  Love these babes :)

First Day of "School" Pics

Lila started back to MDO last week.  She really loves being with all her friends and having some social time.  Most of the kids/iShe is going two days a week now and LOVES it.  She thinks it's big kid school like all her cousins.  They go to FWCS, since it's in the same building and it makes her glad to go...we will let her think that :)

Her favorite part is getting to come in and see Honey every day on our way to class.  Such a blessing to have her right there on campus!

Caroline started going one day a week too.  They had different first days, so they had their own pictures.  Lila is in the same dress on her first day of MDO two years ago.  They are both making funny expressions in these pics, but really look so much alike!

Caroline is 9 months!

Same song, ninth verse... I can't believe Caroline is 9 months old!!! I don't know why, but 9 months just seems like a HUGE milestone.  Way too close to one year for this Momma:(  Wish I could just freeze time and enjoy her like this forever.

She is so much fun right now.  She is laughing and engaging anyone she can get to look her way...(and if you don't look at her, she has this fake laugh she pulls out to get your attention, hilarious)!

She still isn't mobile, so I can still leave her and know she isn't getting into to much trouble.  She can scoot and turn like a clock to gain a little ground, but not enough to have to chase. Josh's mom always described him as a super happy, chubby baby she could just plop down and smile at.  Caroline not only acts just like him, but is looking more and more like him to us.

Official stats next week.  Mom stats:
  • Two teeth, four nubs about to poke through
  • Two naps
  • Eating solids three times a day and nursing four times
  • Finally rolled over both ways!
  • Laughs all the time and is such a blessing to our family!
