RSV SUX

Today was set to be my first day back at school. Josh and I decided in January that I was going to stay home with Lila. Since we are moving in July (to Waco we finally decided), going back and having to find child care for just three months didn't make much sense. I feel so blessed that we are able to make this work. Josh has picked up more moonlighting shifts to make up the difference. I have been missing my kids so much and I was planning on going by today to visit with them and explain my decision. Unfortunately, when I took Lila to the doctor this morning they discovered she has RSV. To steal a note form my sister Cary, RSV SUX! I am so glad we took her when we did. She has to a breathing treatment 3 times a day that she hates, but hopefully will be feeling better soon. All this to say, I would have had to take off the first few days back to work to take care of her. This just reaffirms my decision to stay home. Please pray for our little girl to recover soon!

I can totally relate to your post! Tyler is clear from RSV, but he also had to have breathing treatments...fortunately, he didn't mind them....he had his pacifier in his mouth during most of them! :-) He hated the nasal aspirator (boogie monster) and that was the worst part for us. RSV seems to make no difference if you stay at home or have them in the daycare. Another one of my friend's baby has RSV, and he's younger and she stays home with him! I know you'll get through it but it's no fun to see your baby uncomfortable. The Johnson's Soothing Vapor Bath was great...you might want to try it!! Sending a prayer your way!

hooray! that you are moving to waco! :) The RSV is seriously stinky... I'm so sorry you are having to deal with that! Praying she gets lots better, really, really soon.

Guess the word is out - we'll get to see you more that you'll be in waco vs. lubbock. Suckie abut the RSV! Justin got sick yesterday (don't worry, we've been around LOTS of sick kids, not just yours) so I hope our diagnosis is better than yours. Had a blast keeping Lila Friday. Let me know if you need anything.
