Rain Rain Go Away!

The past 24 hours has been so rainy down here in Houston. In some parts it rained 10 inches! They have closed several highways and schools due to flooding and have had the severe weather stuff on tv all morning. I LOVE watching the weather, thanks to my dad, but this is scary. It's supposed to continue to rain all week.

I love my pup Cooper in spite of all his quirks (jumping on everyone when they walk in the door, barking at everything that moves in the backyard, and eating any food left in his reach), but the fear of thunderstorms he has is the most exhausting. If you saw Marley and Me, Cooper is just like Marley when it comes to storms. He barks while running all throughout the house checking every door and wall for what I assume he thinks is a very loud intruder.

As you can imagine having a thunderstorm + Lila + Cooper = NO SLEEP FOR ALL! We were advised by the HPD to stay home today unless you HAD to get out, so Lila and I are staying in our PJ's trying to make up for a missed nights sleep. This is a first, so we'll see how long it takes us to get back on our schedule.
