Halloween Surprise!

On actual Halloween day Josh and I had scheduled an appointment to go to a 3D ultrasound to find out the gender of the baby.  Our families didn't know we were going to do this, so that made the surprise all the better.  It just so happened that Brady, Coyt, Crew, Caroline and Lila were all taking a nap at Caryn's house.  We sort of traded out childcare/errand time.  I had gotten a pinata and said since all the cousins would be there when school got out we needed to celebrate halloween.   I know that the pinata should have been pumpkin themed for this to make sense, but they were all sold out the day of  :).  Right before the fun I told them that the candy inside might help explain the baby I had inside.  (Disclaimer on the outfits; It was Halloween, backwards day, and the 50th day of school in Kindergarten)

Since Josh had to be back at work when I was going to tell everyone, he came back and told Lila in private.  She was just a little excited!!

Caroline on the other hand,  not so much.  (She is really excited now.  I promise!!)  We were going to see Josh's family in two days, so we wanted to keep the secret so that we could tell them in person!!

Later that night we went to our friends the Harwell's for a halloween party.

Great group photo!  Caroline had already found her way out of it.  Ha!!

These three are at least consistent at being terrible group picture takers.

Whew...by this point,  I was done with Halloween.  Long day, great day!!
