Long lost G day!

Ever since we found out we were pregnant, my Mommy skills have been in survival mode only.  We were all lucky to be fed and dressed in clean clothes.  My sweet 3 year old asked ever so nicely, "when are we going to go do stuff again?  I really like it when we go to the museum or the zoo.  Remember when we used to have letter days?"  I realized I wasn't the only one who had been feeling a little out of sorts lately!  She will even pray that Mommy will feel better soon.  God bless her!  Not that we had special days every day, but I did try at least once a month to plan a day with activities just for them. I decided to gear up and have another letter day.  Hmm, where did we leave off, G!  "G" day was so much fun.

When the girls woke up we ate our breakfast out of a Green bowl and watched Go Diego Go.  Then we went outside to Get some Grass for our art project.

We cut out and Glued our Grass on the Gs.  Then we added some Glitter.

C wasn't really interested in dirtying up her letters, but she did a great job with the glue.  Even used it as chap stick for a while.  That's one way to keep em quiet ;)

Then we loaded up for a field trip.  We had to go see GP.  An added bonus was Honey was home from work that day for a school holiday, so we included our Grandma!  We took Goofy pictures in Glasses.  Then we played duck duck Goose and Red light Green light.  I love how much my parents love and play with my kiddos!

When we left there I decided we needed to go to the GAP and Get some Gear (that was 40% off) now that it is was cooler.  When we got home I copied an idea I saw on Pinterest.  I drew all the letters we had learned so far together and she painted over them with water.  SO easy and they loved it!

Since I hadn't really planned this until lying in bed the night before, for lunch we ate Goldfish, Grapes, Green beans and Good hotdogs ;)

After naps we did some H activities.  I guess I was tired of snapping pictures, because there aren't any of this!  We made a House out of a paper plate and drew our Happy family inside.  We cut out a big Heart and filled it with things that start with HHand print, Hat, Hippo, Hog, Hill, Hot sun, Happy face, mostly things we could draw.  We played Hungry Hungry Hippo and Hide and Seek.  Then we went and got Happy meals and drove to watch Ryan play football.  Didn't start with H, but we had fun anyways :)

As always, when I have something fun planned out for us to do, the day goes so quick and smoothly.  Maybe I'll try to do anther one soon instead of waiting another 4 months.  Luckily Lila will remind me if I forget :)
