I feel the need to update the blog on baby Caroline. She is growing (as you can tell) bigger every day! I went to the doctor last week and found out I was already dilated to a 2-3 and 75% effaced! I was so excited that things had already started moving right along. Never had that with Lila. I have been having contractions this pregnancy since around 20 weeks. On Saturday I had regular contractions from 5 until midnight. I thought for sure something was happening. They even got to about 5 minutes apart. But, obviously they stopped. That same day I lost my plug. Again, thought for sure that meant baby, but no.
I went back to Dr. Rister on Tuesday and was expecting really excited news, but after all those contractions, no change! He said I just may not go beyond a 3 until I'm in actual labor. He said he wouldn't be surprised to see me have her at any time, or she could wait until the 17th (our induction date). Because I'm due the 21st, the week of Christmas, we may induce a few days earlier.
The phrase "any time" has gotten me all crazy. I feel like every contraction or pain is it! Every time I leave the house I look around and see "is it in descent enough shape if I were to be gone for a few days"? We had Lila's birthday party (pictures coming), put up Christmas decorations, packed our bags, and are READY!! I know it's all in God's great timing, but I am going crazy here :) Keep cooking Caroline until you are ready to go! We'll see you in two weeks, or less!!!

Umm you neglected to mention the phone that "putting up your Christmas decorations" included purchasing and assembling a 9 ft tree (our other sister shared that tid-bit with me) - you are CRAZY!! But I lov ya!! I'm on pins and needles over here waiting on the official call that Caroline is ready. Love you!
SO EXCITING!! I cannot wait to hear the news that she is ON HER WAY! Hang in there. Savor this time. She is all yours until you deliver! You don't have to share her! I know there are so many people ready to meet that sweet girl!
Ummm she didn't wait long!! So happy about your new baby girl. She's sooo cute! I was the same way with Mailey. At 30 wks when they said she was coming every contraction freaked me out. Then only 3 days bf her due date, I was in labor and didn't even think I was. My friends made me go get checked at the hospital. Maybe it was denial? Haha love u, KC!
