Bad Blogger

The purpose of this blog was for me to keep track of all the day to day stuff that we do so that one day my kids can look back and see how loved they are and how much fun we had.  Also, so I can simply remember some of it!  Seriously, I have lost my ability to retain information!  Like, important information!  The less than 24 hours ago things we did or were supposed to do, but I forgot information!!

I'm so thankful for God's grace and protection in this stage in my life.  Grace for all my shortcomings.  Grace for my lack of patience with my kids.  Grace for my selfishness in my marriage to Josh. Grace for my laziness in my friendships.  Grace for my 'take it out on the ones I love most' tantrums.  Grace for coming to Him in times of need most days rather than in times of praise and thankfulness.  This list could go on and on and on.  The protection part is well, mostly the fact that we are all still alive!

Like most moms, I always have about one too many balls in the air at any given time.  I don't know if it is the third baby, the start of Purdy Girl Parties or just the fact that these kids just keep getting bigger and busier, but sitting down and updating the blog just seems so hard!  Thank goodness for instagram and facebook so that we can snapshot some of the life we are living and keep our family and friends updated!  Also, I think the further behind I get, the more daunting it seems to catch up!!

Every hiccup Lila had is on here and photographed.  Caroline at least has most of her milestones recorded.  Sweet baby James Wright...I'm sorry :(  Being a third child myself, I am determined to do better at keeping up with this for him.  I dream of a day when I have all my yearly blog books printed out and on a shelf displayed beautifully! For that dream to come true, I have to have the "stuff" posted to print out!!

I have a goal!  (There is a point to this rant)  I am going to try to do at least a monthly post where I can catch up on everything we have been doing.  Here's hoping I can make it happen...for their sake ;)
