ATTN: This post may have TMI for some viewers. Beware of potty talk:)
For the past month or so, Lila has been asking to go in the big potty, telling me when she is dirty, telling me when she is about to go, basically telling me she is ready to potty train. I on the other hand, I was not! I thought it was too early and my preggo energy and patience would run out before noon. After looking at the calendar and realizing we had 2 weeks of nothing before the storm of events in the fall and baby # 2 come...it was now, or wait until next spring.
So, we bit the bullet and got prepared. I read the 3 Day Potty Training guide and bought all the supplies.

Day 1: We kept the juice flowing and spent our morning outside:)
We watched a lot of TV and played close to the bathroom. When she would start to go, we would rush to the potty. This was the worst day for sure. More was all over my floor than in the potty!!! We sat on lots of towels:)By day 2, she knew when she was about to go. Still mostly everywhere but the potty, but at least she knew the feeling. By day 3, she could tell me before she went and we actually got there in time!!!
We have had so many potty parties, m&ms and called all our family so Lila can tell them "I go tee tee on the potty". (Something I never thought I would do until I was a parent:) She is so excited and proud of herself! I am so proud too!

OMG! Yeah for Lila! I need to get that book and read it! I feel like I am floating the same boat as you expect Brooklyn will go and sit on the potty and do nothing but want to wipe. Congrats to Little Lila and mommy for making it through.
Yay, Lila!! That is GREAT! Wow, I am really impressed!!
And btw---I am a big fan of the three day method!!!!!!!!
Whoo Hoooo Lila we are SOOOO proud of you. Kacey you are such a trouper!! I know it isn't easy but Oh my stars will you be glad that she is potty trained with that sweet precious comes along.
Seriously Lila LEW you are a rock star---you too Kacey! I love the panties and high heel shot-so FUNNY! She really is a genious you know!
AMAZING! Way to go Lila! I am so proud and will be calling you for tips here in a few months! Payton is already telling us when she potties and asks to sit on the potty all the time. So - I am hoping that by age 2, we are fully trained! (thank goodness it will not be because another baby is on the way! :-)
I am BEYOND jealous!!! Karlie is doing better and even went the entire day yesterday without an accident. But we still have to ask and prompt her to go, most times she doesn't actually tell us she needs to go. Way to go Lila!! This mama is super impressed...can you teach your skills to your little neighbor???
Girl, you rock! Or more like Lila rocks! What a blessing that you might have this under your belt before next baby girl comes. I am so impressed with this post! So glad we got to catch up in Waco.
What a big girl! I am so proud of her (and you) for getting it down so quickly! I'll have to read that book for sure when Aubree is ready.
